It is fair to say that when you have friends and family over, there are two spaces where people will congregate in your Upper Ivy apartments, the living room, and the kitchen. We want to make sure that each space in your apartments for rent in Culver City is perfectly decorated. Interior design doesn’t come easy to all of us. That is why we have created our home decor guides! This week, we are talking kitchens. Let’s dive in!

The Upper Ivy Apartments Home Decor Guide: Kitchen Edition

  1. Use a tray to organize cooking gear. Not everything has to be hidden inside of a drawer. While our kitchen cabinets have ample space, your cookware can also be a display! We suggest purchasing a decorative tray to hold olive oil, salt, pepper, and a vase that stores your spatulas. If enough space is available on the tray, add a small succulent for a bit of color.
  2. Add plants. Speaking of greenery, a kitchen can be home to plant life too! We love an orchid as a centerpiece for the island. Our local Culver City farmer’s market always has the freshest flowers. You can also border the corners of the kitchen counter with a small plant or two. Even better, you can create an herb garden!
  3. Add a rug. While the floors are stunning at Upper Ivy apartments for rent in Culver City, adding a Turkish runner is a beautiful way to add unique colors and textures to your kitchen. It also provides an excellent cushion for your Sunday meal prep days!
  4. Stick-on backsplashes. Again, all of the finishes in your Culver City apartments are beautiful. However, there are so many great stick-on tiles that can add a unique pop to your kitchen.
  5. Add a vintage accessory. The kitchen always seems to be the perfect place to feature something nostalgic. Vintage details can also be a great way to add some personality to your kitchen. Find yourself a unique tray to hold your cookbooks or even the napkins on your dining table. One of our favorite places to go for these vintage accessories is the monthly Rose Bowl Flea Market.

No matter what route you take to decorate your kitchen, we cannot wait to see what you all do. Make sure to snap a photo and tag us on social media @upperivy so we can see and stay inspired.
