What do you think of when you hear the word Venice? Some say overpriced boutique shops on Abbot Kinney, and others say the beach with crazy characters. While all of that is true, we often think about all the delicious eateries. Whether it be brunch, lunch, or dinner, here are the best restaurants in Venice, just a short drive away from your Upper Ivy apartments for rent in Culver City.

The Best Restaurants in Venice

Felix

The first spot on our list is pasta-lively excellent. Aside from Pasta Sisters around the corner from your Upper Ivy luxury Culver City apartments for rent, Felix is our favorite pasta spot in LA. It is located on Abbot Kinney and features a very cool glassed-in pasta-making room. That’s right; you can watch people make pasta while you eat pasta! Must-try items are the Trofie pasta with basil pesto and the Rigatoni all’Amatriciana.

Gjusto

Living in Los Angeles gives you your fair share of delis. That includes Gjusta. They’ve got a fantastic pastrami lox and baklava croissant, perfect for brunch. People all over LA come for the breakfast bialy sandwich. All the burger lovers living in Culver City at Upper Ivy should give their burger a try as well.

South End

Our next spot will always have a pizza of our hearts. South End pizza serves up our favorite Neapolitan-style pizzas. There is a very high chance that while dining here, your waiter will hand you a glass of wine on the house! Our favorite pizza on the menu is the Boardwalk, topped with arugula and an egg in the middle.

American Beauty

While it is a bit unexpected of Venice, there is a great steakhouse in the area called American Beauty. They serve all the classics like the dry-aged porterhouse with a pig potato pancake on the side. The burger with Swiss cheese and caramelized onions is another fan favorite.

The Rose

It wouldn’t be right to exclude The Rose from this list. This American cafe and bakery is a longtime Venice resident. It opened in 1979 and was revamped in 2015. During the rebuild, it was transformed into a multi-concept dining megastore. There is a bakery, a to-go counter, a coffee bar, a full liquor bar, a studying area, and of course, a small patio area. There is an all-day breakfast sandwich with an egg inside that we highly suggest ordering.
