In addition to palm trees and the entertainment industry, the beaches are what Los Angeles is known for! While you can technically have a beach day any time of the year, things get really heated during the summer, and we mean that in the best way possible. While your Upper Ivy Culver City apartments for rent aren’t along the shore, they are just a quick drive away. That said, here are our favorite beaches in Los Angeles.
Our Favorite Beaches in Los Angeles
Santa Monica Beach
We would be doing this blog post an injustice if we did not include Santa Monica Beach, just a quick drive from your Culver City apartments for rent in Los Angeles. When you are looking for an all-day beach day with friends, we would suggest Santa Monica. While it draws a big crowd during the summer, you will always find a spot to park your chairs and umbrellas and even play a round of volleyball.
Manhattan Beach Pier
Piers and beaches come hand in hand. In addition to Santa Monica, one of our other favorite beaches with a pier is Manhattan Beach. Surfers and photographers alike are fond of this spot, and we think you will be too. The pier and sky are always picturesque, with or without clouds and the surf is great too.
Venice Beach
Another lively option for a full beach day is Venice Beach. You can have a good surf here but what brings people back to Venice Beach are all the characters. That includes musicians, breakdancers, palm readers, and of course, bodybuilders.
Point Dume State Beach
Last but certainly not least, we have Point Dume State Beach in Malibu. If you want unobstructed views of a sunset from any direction, this is the spot. One unique feature about Point Dume is that it is a bluff-lined point, and the views expand out into the Pacific Ocean. For all the photographers living at Upper Ivy apartments for rent in Culver City, the views from the Northwest have excellent shots of Zuma Beach. If you are lucky, you may find some dolphins playing in the water.
